Apple, Turmeric and Cinnamon Roll-ups

The perfect snack for those cold winter days
Prep Time 45 minutes
Cook Time 10 hours
Course Snack

Equipment

  • 1 Peeler
  • 1 Lemon Squeezer
  • 1 Cutting Board
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Teaspoon Measuring Spoon
  • 1 Tablespoon Measuring Spoon
  • ¼ Cup Measuring Cup
  • 1 Pot Large
  • 1 Blender
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Dehydrator With (oiled) Solid sheets and Trays

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Kg Apples peeled and sliced
  • 1 Lemon juiced
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Turmeric freshly grated
  • 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup / Honey or sweetener of choice
  • ¼ Cup Water

Instructions
 

Prep

  • Peel and slice the apples

  • Juice the lemon

Cooking

  • Place the sliced apples into a large pot along with the remaining ingredients

  • Bring to a gentle simmer and cook until the apples are soft

Blending

  • Allow the apple to cool before transferring to a blender - blend until smooth

Dehydrating

  • Using a spatula, spread out the puree evenly onto a lightly oiled solid sheet that is on a tray
    (Be careful, turmeric stains easily!)

  • Place the tray onto the Ezidri Ultra base
  • Dehydrate @ 55℃ for 8-10 hours

Final steps

  • Remove the roll-up from the solid sheet whilst still warm, then roll.

Storing

  • Allow to cool completely before storing in an air-tight container.
