Vitamix Drive Socket

Description

The drive socket for the Vita-Mix Super Blender is made of bakalite, which is designed to collapse in the event of any obstruction to the spinning of the blade e.g. dropping a utensil or fruit stone into the jug while in operation. The motor will continue to run but the drive shaft will no longer connect to the blade assembly via the drive socket.

The drive socket will require replacement:

• If it is damaged as described above
• When the drive socket becomes worn or loose on the motor shaft though years of use
