Sore Throat and Chest Cold Tea

  • 2 Lemons (Cleaned and sliced in ± 3cm slices and ¼ each slice)
  • 5cm Ginger (Sliced into thin slices)
  • ± 1 Cup Honey (Has to be enough to cover everything

  • OPTIONAL EXTRA – 1 tsp ground cinnamon


  • Combine the lemon and ginger slices (And cinnamon – if using) in a ± 350ml glass bottle
  • Slowly pour the honey over to completely cover all the  lemon and ginger slices, and to fill all the voids in between.  The Honey must completely cover all the ingredients
  • Close the bottle and place in a fridge until it starts forming a jelly-like consistency

To use:

  • Scoop 1 teaspoon of the “jelly” into a mug and pour ± ½ cup of boiling water over it
  • Sip as needed

This recipe makes about 2 Cups and will store in the fridge for about 2-3 months.
